Meet the Founder Juanita Barr

Juanita is the Founder/CEO of Goods Blessing House Inc. In addition, she is the head teacher, teen mental health instructor, mentor and a motivational speaker. She grew up in the heart of North Philadelphia. Attended Vaux Middle School, Simon Gratz High School and graduated with a GED from Philadelphia Job Corps. Juanita received her Associate’s Degree in Human Services/Sociology from Gloucester County College in New Jersey. A Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s Degree in Administration of Human Services from Wilmington University in Delaware. She is a member of Tau Upsilon Alpha National Organization for Human Service Honor Society.

Juanita has three beautiful girls ages 16, 6, and 4 years old. The youngest daughter was diagnosed with a speech delay at 18 months. Since she wasn’t talking much, she was behind on learning. She was told the middle daughter was learning on a normal range. However, her daughter couldn’t recognize letters or numbers out of order. Consequently, learning challenges causes behavior challenges so she had to dedicate more time to the kids education. She didn’t want them to be overlooked due to learning and behavior challenges.

Her main purpose and passion is to motivate, inspire, educate and enhance the lives of the future generation. She is the CEO of RAISING THE BARR LLC located in Wilmington, De. Juanita has motivated/encouraged students and young adults to move past circumstances that was in front of them. She believes life is about making choices. Despite any tribulations you have to go through to get there. Choose the right path! She chooses positivity and peace. She is dedicated to your success.
